MiniCAD helps blockbuster Sci-fi, "The Matrix", explode onscreen!

21 April 99.

Diehlgraphsoft announced that the hit film "The Matrix" has MiniCAD to thank for its pre-visualization and much of its aesthetic appeal. The film's production designer contracted 3D animator and MiniCAD user Sergei Chadiloff to develop pre-visualizations of the many futuristic designs in the film.

The Ecto Chairs, integral elements of the story line, were completely modeled and developed in MiniCAD on the Macintosh, prior to being sent to the CNC's mill's propriety control software for construction and fabrication. Screen shots are available, including links to further work on this cutting edge, box-office hit.
