New TimeSlips 6 for Mac includes TAL for free!
Sage US recently released a new Macintosh version 6 of their popular TimeSlips application for service professionals. While many of the new features stand out as excellent examples of how this application can save you money (or help you make more, depending on your perspective) -- and we'll go over them in a minute -- one new feature saves you $100 right away and adds additional power to the program. That features is TAL, or TimeSlips Accounting Link, the module that allows you integrate TimeSlips data into other popular accounting packages. More Good Stuff for Architects and other AEC Professionals: version 6.0 Of the many new features in version 6, the one that AEC service professionals will appreciate right away is the Percent Complete Billing feature. For architects, contractors and engineering consultants, billing by percent of the project complete is common practice. Now TimeSlips 6 allows you to assign a number of phases to a project, each with its own percentage of the total fee. Then bill a percentage of or the total fee on each phase. This is a great addition to the program. The other next useful feature for AEC pros is the new Text Search/Conflict Checking functions. Now adding textural data about clients, decisions and activities is more powerful thanks to the new method of finding this data again via the new search capabilities.Now, for example, you can write detailed comments about specific project issues related to your time spending and find them later with no difficulty. Other improvements include better interface design and control over the view of slips, the ability to see trends in the data an so forth. To learn more click here. Free TimeSlips Accounting Link (TAL) TAL is now included free with TimeSlips 6. The module previously was a $100 add-on. This amounts to a large savings off the level 1 price for TimeSlips. Essentially, TAL exports data from TimeSlips into other accounting applications, thereby saving you time in manually inputting this data into your ledger.
