New Format for News at Architosh
News coverage has slowed down a bit at Architosh over the last week. The reason for this was because of a new format for handling news coverage. After looking at how readers were engaging the site and its various pages, the decision was made to adopt a more traditional approach to news. From now on general news stories will be listed first (at the top) on the Architosh News page and you will click to individual story pages. Quick links to news around the web will be secondary (below that). Over the next few months expanded coverage of original news from software companies and other press sources will be covered. In addition, there will be an effort made to deliver these news items in groups, i.e., instead of one story per day for three days in a row, the three stories will be delivered together on one day. However, there will be no fixed schedule for news coverage, as press releases follow no pattern. As always , we hope you will check in with the site as frequently as possible. Architosh 2 To that end, a scheme as been devised to implement "quick access" to top news stories around the web. Most of this new strategy will NOT be implemented until the May-June time-frame, when the second design of Architosh will be introduced. For now, news clicks around the web will be focused on two areas: (1) Mac news around the web, and (2) top stories in the information technology category. We plan on bringing coverage in a few other categories with Architosh 2. If you have any suggestions for us for what we should cover please send us a note. Although we are still working out the details, "Architosh 2", as it is refered, is aiming to be more like a "vertical portal". We will share more about this in the near future.
