IPIX support coming to QuickTime 3 and 4

30 Sep 99.

IPIX has announced the availability of DR2 of their IPIX_QT components. The components extend QT 3 and 4 by allowing it to import and view IPIX images with virtually all the same features as their IPIX viewing application.

IPIX says this version is significantly more stable than DR1. Movie view editing and compositing can now be done. Also, IPIX images can be completely driven by QuickTime events -- that is its wired. Most QuickTime-based applications will open IPIX images without modification. IPIX has tested MoviePlayer, QuickTime 4 player, Netscape and IE for Macintosh.

You can download the components at: http://www.ipix.com/support/developers/qt/qt.html.

NOTE: this is considered a developer release so proceed with caution. Currently, it is only available for Mac OS. A Windows version may be available in the future.
