MacCAD News: Diehl Graphsoft Allies with Objects Online

MiniCAD VectorWorks maker, Diehl Graphsoft Inc., has allied with Objects Online, a premier Web site for 3D "objects". Objects Online is the world's first online source for intelligent 3D objects and they will begin to market individual VectorWorks objects as well as symbol libraries in addition to its range of object offerings for other CAD developers.

Object technology is currently one of the principle drivers of the worldwide CAD industry according to Objects Online founder, David Correia. This driving force is creating a significant market for intelligent 3D objects, the content that will one day distinguish every CAD file in the world from a mere drawing.

"Since its first full quarter of operations," reports Correia, "Objects Online sales have quadrupled, web traffic has grown 250% with little promotion, more than 30 object developers have been brought under contract, and the number of objects online has mushroomed more than 400%."

Privately held, Objects Online (www.objectsonline.com) was founded in San Francisco by David Correia in 1998 as the world_s first e-commerce site dedicated to intelligent 3D objects used in CAD files.
