Vendors for AEC and 3D at Expo - article updated!
Our Vendors for AEC and 3D at Expo story has been updated with links to some cool new or improved tools, as well as free software and reminders. For instance, Abvent's excellent rendering program for architecture, interiors and 3D design has updates for Mac OS 9 compatibility. Both Diehl Graphsoft and Hash Inc, have new Expo announcements. NewTek's advanced and award-winning Lightwave 3D is a powerful native Power Macintosh rendering and animation program. ACI US Inc., the makers of 4D database software, have a comparison to FileMaker Pro -- as well as a special offer for FileMaker users. Dantz' Retrospect is Mac OS X bound and their are announcements with with parties including LaCie, Sony and others. Did you update to Quicken 2000 yet? Help Quicken support the Mac by upgrading your Quicken software. Quicken 2000 offers new features worth considering, as well as their key Tax preparation software for the Mac. JobOrder 8.0 is a business process management software solution for both large and small companies. The product is cross-platform and server/client-based. And Nisus has free Nisus Writer software in light and trial versions. Lastly, Netopia's new site "My Netopia for iMac users offers web site design services exclusively for iMac users (and I think they are free?). We'll continue to review more post-Expo news and check out vendors new to us. Who knows? Maybe we'll discover more software for AEC and design.
