Apple invites Architosh to become Apple Store Associate Member Site
We are proud to announce that Apple has chosen the Architosh Web site to join their exclusive Associates program, enabling Architosh to sell Apple hardware and software on our website. This program allows selected sites to operate as "gateway stores" to the main Apple Store, similar to the Amazon.com Associates Store we have with books. Architosh finds a better way We are delighted that Apple chose our site in recognition of our focus and editorial coverage and to enable us to partner to help provide targeted solutions for the Macintosh AEC and CAD professional. This enables us to find a better way of generating operational revenue than tradition web banner advertising.
Who Needs Banners and More Banners? Besides, having lots of banners only makes it harder for us to provide the 'clean look' we seek in Architosh 2.0 -- the next generation of this site. While we will still provide some ad banners -- after all, they can be useful to you as well -- we will try to operate without relying on them heavily. How does it work? The Apple Store Associates Program works similarly to programs like our Amazon.com associates store. Apple provides Architosh with graphics and linking code that enables us to place Apple Store items on our site for review. If you want to purchase a selected item or any other item directly from Apple (at the Apple Store) than click on the appropriate Apple Store graphic (link) to go directly to the Apple Store. When you make purchases in this manner (versus going directly to the Apple Store without passing through Architosh) Architosh receives a small commission (referral fee), while the price of item remains exactly the same to you.
