MacCAD News: Swedish/English mailing list for Mac Microstation users
An Architosh reader wrote in to share with us the discovery of a good resource for Macintosh-based Microstation users. As many Mac CAD pros already know, Bentley has shifted platform gears, officially last year, and is no longer supporting the Macintosh or any other non-Microsoft platform in its future products. This in sharp contrast to one of their past marketing focuses, of being one of the only major, multipurpose-CAD vendors supporting all major UNIX, Mac and Windows platforms. While some holdout hope that Bentley may one day support the Macintosh -- and even Linux -- with their future products, the company does still support their users on various platforms. Another excellent resource for support and information is the Swedish web site, SNUTTAR (and we are not sure what that word may mean in Swedish? but is a part of the Swedish Microstation users group) which has, among other things, a Macintosh-focused "mail list" for Mac Microstation users -- with information on compiling Mac MDL's and a number of downloads.
