New Web site devoted to AppleScript
The good folks behind the old AppleScript BBS have changed web addresses (http://macscripter.net) and have enhanced their site. MacScripter.net is a site devoted to all things scripting on the Macintosh, including but not limited to AppleScript. The site works on a pseudo open-source model. According to their email:
"While all apps and developer utilities are welcome, we encourage you to treat any script submissions in the spirit of "Open Source". If you adapt, extend or improve on a posted script, then please send us your version too. This way we can maximize the leverage of everyone's hard work, truly redefining the term "shareware". We have also made available an upload form for your convenience." The site features news related to scripting, a bulletin board, an BBS email list and archives. In addition the site has pages on AppleScript books, MacScripter's Magazine, Editor Comparison and AppleScript links. Looks like a super great site! Check it out.
