ClarisCAD, PowerOn Software Contest and other news

25 May 00

We have a number of announcements that we have thrown together in this article. First off, Christoph Balle has written in from Geneva, Switzerland, regarding where he can find ClarisCAD manuals. If you have a pair of manuals from ClarisCAD and are no longer needing them perhaps you can sell them to him (or just give them away). His email address is christoph.balle@cern.ch.

DesignCAD 2D/3D for Macintosh - Reader Response

Steve Zerby wrote in to tell his his experiences with DesignCAD.

"I have DesignCAD 2D/3D for Macintosh version 3.1. I bought it in 1991. The address for the company then was:

One American Way Pryor, OK 74361, ph: 918-825-4848

That was in the dark days of system 7.1 and I was never able to get it to function properly on my machine. It was my first stab at 3D CAD and I found it too difficult to learn out of the box, plus it was crashing my machine. So I put it aside. Four years later I bought MiniCAD and have been using that productively ever since. Never had reason to revisit DesignCAD."

Thanks Steve for sharing this with us. Anyone else out there with experience in DesignCAD?
