MacCAD News: ArchiCAD Awarded Excellence in IT at Interbuild 2000
In recent news, ArchiCAD, by Graphisoft of Budapest, Hungary, was awarded the "Excellence in IT at Interbuild 2000", in the UK. Says Andr‡s Haidekker, managing director of Graphisoft UK, "We are honored to receive this award, as it confirms ArchiCAD as the leading architectural CAD solution in the construction industry. ArchiCAD and the Virtual Building concept generated a great deal of excitement during the show, illustrating the shift in interest toward 3D model-based solutions in building design." The five-day Interbuild show is held biannually at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham. More than 2,000 companies took part in Interbuild 2000, May 21-26, including Graphisoft, who presented the powerful new features of ArchiCAD 6.5, and its link with Cymap UK's heating, ventilation and air-condition design software. Integrated with ArchiCAD, Cymap's CADLink software successfully demonstrated the superiority of 3D model-based building design. The awards, sponsored by Construction Plus, were given to eleven other exhibitors at the show in categories such as Doors and Windows, Building Services and Total Lighting.
