Nemetschek North America Previews New Product
VectorWorks SPOTLIGHT Debuts at Lighting
Dimensions International. According to the Press Release:
Las Vegas, Nevada (October 20, 2000)Ñ Proceeding with its strategy
to expand the VectorWorks product line, Nemetschek North America
today introduced SPOTLIGHT. Part of the VectorWorks Industry Series,
SPOTLIGHT is the first vertical market CAD product specifically
developed for entertainment design professionals. SPOTLIGHT builds
on the strength of VectorWorks, the CAD leader in entertainment
design software. Offering advanced features and functions, VectorWorks
SPOTLIGHT is currently being beta tested, and is expected to begin
shipping by the end of 2000.
VectorWorks SPOTLIGHT merges powerful drafting and modeling tools
with lighting design and production tools making it easy to quickly
create light plots, automate paperwork and visualize design concepts
in 3D. Hosting a wealth of innovative features, SPOTLIGHT offers
a unique instrument labeling system, allowing for multiple sets
of custom labels. In addition to its customizable labeling system,
SPOTLIGHT features a library of hundreds of instruments and accessories
from 15 leading manufacturers. SPOTLIGHT sets a precedent as the
only CAD lighting software that automatically generates magic sheets
by focus area or color. Furthermore, lighting designers are not
only able to generate advanced paperwork with a single command,
they can also import and export lighting information from LightWrightª
