Learn how you
can help support Architosh's mission
Architosh's mission has always been clear. From the very beginning
this site was about advocating the use of Macintosh computers in
CAD, 3D and AEC. Simultaneously, that mission involves helping current
users keep using Macs in these fields. And we do that through news,
interviews, product reviews and vertical IT resources.
Can Readers Help?
Yes! Absolutely. Readers can help Architosh.com in a number of
ways. Listed below are details on all of most of them:
1.
- Financial Support: Indirectly
You can support Architosh.com financially by
shopping in our e-Store, especially our Associate Apple Store.
If you purchase products from the Apple Store online, please visit
our site first and get to the Apple Store by clicking on our Apple
Store product links or through our e-Store. We earn 1-4% commission
on Apple-branded items but please bear these rules in mind:
Apple gives us just 15 return days. If you shop
the Apple Store via our site, you have just 15 days to finalize
and complete your transaction if we are to get our fair commission.
Also,
You must have "receive cookies on", in your
browser, for tracking to occur. Otherwise, we get nothing.
You can also shop our affiliate
partner ICS Store, a super-CAD/3D store and excellent ArchiCAD
support store. There we have zero return days, so please make your
planned purchases directly (on that day) or always pass to the ICS
Store via our site.
In general supporting purchases via our LinkShare sidebar ads,
Associate Amazon.com store and others helps us out greatly if and
only a large number of you participate this way.
2.
- Financial Support: Directly
If you are a software or hardware vendor, please
consider advertising on Architosh.com or becoming a Corporate
Sponsor. The benefits are great and nothing beats a vertically
oriented audience for sell-through and branding support.
The Shareware Model. If you are a reader and would like
to make a yearly pledge based on the concept of the site as a type
of Web-based IT shareware, then please send us a small check for
what you think the site is worth to you or your company. Chances
are, you already pay for paper subscriptions (mags. etc.) How much
is Architosh worth to you, compared to these other subscriptions?
If Architosh.com is worth just $5/year that is perfectly acceptable
to us. We will sincerely appreciate it and it will help us support
this site and move on new initiatives.
AREN. Subscribe to the Architosh Readers Email Newsletter.
AREN
will start in December 2001 and will be a "weekly" email
newsletter sent to a list of subscribers only. It will feature some
exclusive content and exclusive links as well as summarize all updates
to Architosh weekly. Cost is just $12US per year ($1 per month).
Architosh Reader Sponsors. If you send in a yearly
pledge of $25US or more we will list you (or your firm) in the left
column of ever page on the site for the year. A yearly subscription
of AREN
will be included.
Payment Types:
Personal or Business checks, Bankchecks and money orders.
Payment To:
Britasmedia/Architosh
Contact Info:
Please send your email address with your payment for AREN.
We
cannot process your order without email address.
Send Payment To:
- BritasMedia
- 28 Columbus Avenue, Floor 1
- Cambridge, MA 02140, USA
3.
- Editorial Support
We are also interested in editorial advisors and corporate editors
and those who would like to help actually run the site. We have
details on these programs in our Editorial
web page.
4.
- Information Support
Lastly, you can be of great help by sharing information with us.
There are many things going on and we can only hear about and keep
up with so much. If you have good information that should be on
this site, please write to us.
I sincerely thank you for taking the time to read this over and
hope that one or more of these support measures are within your
reach.
Thank you.
