10th Annual Macintosh Business Expo in Seattle Kicks Off Today

The 10th annual Mac Biz Expo kicks off today. Presented by The Computer Store and sponsored by Apple Computer the event brings the best and latest in Apple Macintosh technology to the Pacific Northwest.

Admission is free with registration to over 50 exhibitors, 30 seminars, and the 30-seat Gaming Pavilion and many great show only specials at the Sales Pavilion. The Macintosh Business Expo has grown into one of the largest Mac only Exhibitions in the US, behind MacWorld and Seybold. And it takes place right here in Microsoft's backyard!

When It Starts

Everything begins Thursday, October 3, 2002 at 8:30am. Show Floor opens at 10:00am and stays open to 5:00pm. This is a hip one day event so try to attend and enjoy.

Keynote

The keynote will be by Apple Computer's own John Brandon, Vice President of the America's and Asia Pacific. John is a seasoned sales and higher educational veteran and an Adobe alumnus, serving there for three years.

Exhibitors

Over 50 exhibitors - Adobe, The Omni Group, Marketcircle, 21st Century Media, ThinkFree and Detto Technologies will all be showing off their OS X applications during the opening address. In addition a Gaming Pavilion with more than 30 Apple gaming stations loaded with the hottest games, over 30 free seminars presented by companies such as Apple, Adobe, Marketcircle and MYOB, as well as exhibits by some of the computer industry's leading manufacturers. In addition, the Sales Pavilion will have a huge selection of "Show Specials" from vendors such as Apple, Epson, Canon, Xerox and Wacom.

Architosh Analysis: This event keeps getting bigger and bigger each year and is starting to become a major event. It will be interesting to see where the attendance numbers fall this year given the economy as a negative and the new Jaguar Mac OS X operating system as a positive. It's a free event so if you are in the neighborhood, check it out! Shows are also a great place to get great deals and its getting to be that holiday time anyway.
