CAMBRIDGE, Massachusetts—October 30, 2002—Architosh.com, a Web site focused solely on the Macintosh-based CAD/3D and AEC (architecture/engineering/construction) markets has announced its intention to find a business partner to merge with.

"We are simply not in a position to continue this site in the appropriate manner without the assistance of a stronger partner," says Anthony Frausto-Robledo, the site's founder and main content producer. "It's not that this vertical niche isn't relevant anymore to the Mac or that the Mac isn't relevant anymore in these vertical markets," says Mr. Frausto-Robledo, "but we have to be honest with ourselves and admit that this is a small audience to support all by ourselves."

In announcing that Architosh is in search of a merger partner, the Web site hopes other sites or networks looking to expand or find new opportunities may see it as an attractive venue for future growth.

"Architosh's main value in the Internet news space is its consistency and focus," says Mr. Frausto-Robledo, "that's an incredibly attractive thing...to both end users and site advertisers." "We have no particular preferences for finding the right merger partner. And we'd be willing to entertain a wide spectrum of ideas." " For us", says Mr. Frausto-Robledo, "what matters most is that we can go on to serve this unique and special vertical audience in the Mac marketplace. That's what we know best, that's what we love."

Architosh.com serves a critical market segment of the Macintosh world: the CAD/3D and AEC professional and student.
