Architosh Press Report: Nemetschek North America Awards Initial Prize in Laptop Giveaway

As part of its VectorWorks 10 product campaign, Nemetschek North America is giving away one free laptop a month to a randomly selected user of a VectorWorks 10 product. October was the first month in the laptop giveaway, and the prize went to Bert Crews, from Darata Design Associates in Sausalito, California. Darata Design Associates, Inc. is an event production and creative design company specializing in the coordination, design and technical production for corporate events and meetings, conventions, associations, trade shows and fundraising events.

Mr. Crews says that he often has to revise floor plans on location to meet the ever-changing desires of his corporate event clients. "Up until now, we have created those drawings in-house and revised them on-site the old-fashioned way, with pencil and eraser. Rendering the drawings in VectorWorks 10 will allow me and my associate, Tammy Hilbrich, to demonstrate lighting in the ballrooms and convention halls where we supply staging, lighting and dŽcor."

Commenting on the companyâs first laptop giveaway, Richard Diehl, CEO, Nemetschek North America, stated, "We thought this would be a fun way to motivate our users to upgrade early, as well as providing an added bonus for users who typically upgrade as soon as the product is released."
