Products Deserve More Attention

In response to our articles on substitutes for Autocad, one reader
wrote in to let us know how they feel about Ashlar Vellum's products,
all of which support the Macintosh fully.
We're
extremely impressed with Cobalt by Ashlar and can't see why this
software isn't in the news. Are you planning on mentioning it?
Shouldn't you? It's a far better product than some others you
discuss and deserves an airing.
Cobalt
makes some of the really big boys like ProE and Solidworks, Inventor
etc look like hard work... and it's developed on the Mac.

We agree that Ashlar's products are excellent and deserving of
more attention. We certainly don't mean to skip over many of the
excellent alternatives out there...and there are plenty of reasons
why we cover what we cover (especially communications by the software
developers to us...so send us your press releases! ). It should
be said, that we have been planning on doing some reviews of Ashlar's
new Graphite line in 2003.
