Luminetik Co-Sponsored NYDV Expo at Madison Sq. Garden

Past Architosh Firm Profile firm, Luminetik, a 3D animation
and VFX house in New York City, recently co-sponsored the
New York DV Expo at Madison Square Garden. Kevin Cahill, CEO,
was one of the keynote session speakers for the VFX section
of the expo.

Commercials
Kevin's keynote speech was called, Commercials: "What
is real and what is not?" Kevin showed images and video
of recent commercials Luminetik has worked on and explained
the process of creating the commercial from start to finish.
He showed the attendees the process of creating a photo realistic
image using NewTek's Lightwave 3D, Final Cut Pro and Apple's
Shake compositing and effects software.

Luminetik also did the commercial for the event that was
seen on the Madison Square Garden channel and on the expo
website at www.nydvshow.com. The commercial was designed to
bring in as many attendees as possible. "When Richard
Friedman asked me to do the commercial and told me what he
wanted to do�I knew doing the commercial using Final Cut Pro
would save him time and money." Kevin helped to design
the commercial using images from the client and importing
them into the editing software.

Luminetik is involved in many areas of visual effects and
animation. Luminetik recently provided visual effects for
the movie "Two Weeks Notice" featuring Sandra Bullock
and Hugh Grant. Luminetik used Dual G4 Power Macintoshes running
Shake, Maya, Lightwave and Photoshop to create the film effects.
