Strata 3Dpro 3.8.2 Now Shipping for Windows (for those that
care)
Strata has announced that the Windows version of their flagship
rendering and animation application, Strata 3Dpro is now shipping.
Their latest newsletter also contained some useful information on
modeling tutorials (in PDF form) which you can obtain
here.
CrystalEyes Workstation for Macintosh
Architosh reader Brian Frank wrote in with some helpful information
on stereo 3D support on the Mac OS X platform:
Well, after some digging, I have found that shutter glasses can
finally be supported on a stock Mac. See: http://www.stereographics.com/products/crystaleyesworkstation/indexmac.html
Indeed, CrystalEyes Workstation for Mac, by SterorGraphics Corporation,
offers engineers, scientists and medical professionals on the Mac
OS X platform true stereo3D visualization technologies. The system
requires a Power Mac G4 running Mac OS X (10.2.3 or newer) with
the Nvidia GeForce or ATI Radeon graphics card and an OpenGL-based
software application with stereo display functions. Additionally,
you will need a CRT monitor capable of 100Hz vertical refresh rates.

Brian also notes that there is stereo3D and non-stereo 3D sample
