FireWire 2 Go for PowerBook G3's
Newer Technologies has introduced FireWire 2 Go (TM) to the Macintosh market. This is the first FireWire CardBus Card for Apple's new PowerBook G3 Series notebook. The FireWire 2 Go card enables PowerBook G3 users to easily connect to any self-powered FireWire device including external hard drives, digital video cameras and more. FireWire 2 Go consists of a Type II card, a PC Card to FireWire dongle and an eight foot 4-pin to 6-pin FireWire adapter cable (for DV cameras and camcorders). A CD-ROM supplies Apple's FireWire 2.1 installer and QuickTime 4 Pro version. Mac OS 8.6 or later is required. FireWire 2 Go is compatible with second generation PowerBook G3's as well as future CardBus-enabled PowerBook products running Mac OS 8.6 or later.
