Spatial to provide industry-leading 3D technology to Linux OS

Spatial Technologies, the world's leading supplier of 3D modeling kernels, announced that they will be supporting Linux with their industry-leading 3D modeling technology. Spatial has made available the ACIS 3D Toolkit on Red Hat Software Inc's Linux operating system. This port will arrive in conjunction with Spatial's scheduled release of ACIS 3D Toolkit 5.2 in mid June. With this release, the growing Linux user base will benefit from access to the leading edge 3D modeling technology. Spatial's support of Linux will provide ACIS licensees access to over 10 million Linux users worldwide.

Spatial Technologies provides software developers of 3D applications, such as CAD/CAM software, with a market-leading 3D modeling kernel (engine). Some Macintosh applications built around this modeling engine include Vellum Solids, Electric Image, Strata Vision, and form-Z, to name just a few. Spatial's ACIS 3D Toolkit is at the heart of more than 100 applications used worldwide for industries as diverse as industrial design, automotive engineering, civil and structural engineering, architecture, motion graphics and video for broadcast industries, to name just a few.
