| | Ashlar's new Vellum Solids 99 Released! - 2 July 99.
The beta phase is over and the new Vellum Solids 99 has arrived! Ashlar claims the new version has over 400 customer requested improvements and includes all of the following new functionality: - ACIS 5.0: features tolerant modeling, enhanced healing technology, new blending functionality.
- Integrated drawing composition capabilities: includes the creation f 2d drawings with auxiliary, section and detail views and bi-directional associativity.
- Assembly modeling tools: allows you to connect, mate, align, insert and create associative assemblies.
- Advanced rendering: supports photorealistic images, foreground, background, materials, decals, transparencies, reflections, perspective, shadows, virtual reality movies, etc.
- Deformable surfaces capability: includes the ability to locally deform a surface within a projected curved region.
- Dimension improvements
