BuildBoston '99: Diehl Graphsoft to exhibit
Build Boston '99 Conference and Exhibition will take place this November 16-18th in Boston at the World Trade Center. In attendance this year will be Diehl Graphsoft (booth #208), the developer of the new CAD wonder kid, MiniCAD VectorWorks. Other CAD companies will also be exhibiting, though not to the extend, certainly, to what is available in the architectural CAD market. Windows only software like DataCAD and SoftPlan will be shown in their company booths. Also in attendance will be ICS/Integrated CADD Services, of Cambridge, Massachusetts. ICS is one of the premier Apple VAR's (value-added resellers) in the New England region. In addition to being a Macintosh system integrator for the AEC market ICS is a VAR for ArchiCAD and other CAD software (all platforms) as well as HP and Encad plotters. Hopefully they will have a new G4 running ArchiCAD 6 software in their booth to lure AEC pros to the new power of the Macintosh. Notably absent from the Build Boston show this November will be the CAD Shootout, which has moved to A/E/C Systems shows in Los Angeles.
