Mac CAD News: New German CADD Applications: Info
Thanks to a German Architosh reader more CAD applications available for the Macintosh have come to our attention. Vellum Pro is an enhanced version of Ashlar Vellum which incorporates improved stability with many of the new features like Graphical Dimensions (associative dimensioning, perhaps?) Editor, the Surface and Welding Symbols, support for hatch patterns in AutoCAD PAT format, the Graphical Symbol Manager with underlying value tables and the Kinematic Extension of the Vellum parametrics. Vellum Pro is available for the Mac OS (Power Macintosh) and Windows 95/98/NT. DraftBoard - Design by F.A. PORSCHE (at http://www.draftboard.de). DraftBoard is a 2D CAD and Design Software with an intuitive user interface which is based on the Drafting Assistant of the Vellum engine. DraftBoard is available for MacOS (PowerMac) and Windows 95/98/NT. We will be taking a look at these Web sites later to investigate the details of these two applications.
