Letter from the Editor: How Architosh is becoming more Open

Dear Readers and Friends of Architosh:

Architosh is now over two years old but we feel our work has reached a critical phase in its development. Don't worry. This is not one of those 'it's been great' letters...but we do want to share with you—openly—our work, its growth and our hopes for the site's future and continued success.

Making Architosh an Open Communications Platform

We believe Architosh has become a respected site in the Mac and CAD online press. The journey has been 99% of the reward...and of that your constant praise and encouragement has kept us going forward while other sites eventually give up. But while our site continues to grow in hits each month, our content production has reached a plateau of sorts.

Today Architosh is announcing the opening up of the site. In order for us to move the site to the next phase of content development we need the assistance of other key "stakeholders" in the Macintosh CAD/3D/AEC markets, to help generate the synergy that has been continuously building on Architosh since its beginning. We know we can do this. And we have a number of announcements and new items coming this Spring and Summer which should enable us to further expand the site's content and value to you, our professional readers.

Editorial Programs

The specific challenges we face are ones of time and resources. The Internet economy (or E-economy) has fallen on hard times this last year and with that many of our dreams of expanding the site via new staff and dedicated resources. With the limited time of the very small number of people involved in making Architosh come to you daily, we can't manage continued content growth without the assistance of others.

Therefore we have created a new series of Editorial Programs for stakeholders in the Mac CAD/3D/AEC markets to embrace Architosh as a "communications platform". Through the efforts of many more contributors of valuable content to Architosh, we believe the site will grow at a critical rate to achieve its target successes while simultaneously meeting the growing needs of its diverse readers.

We invite all stakeholders in Mac CAD/3D/AEC markets to consider our Architosh Editorial Programs as a new communications opportunity. All are invited to participate and you can learn about these programs by following the key links in this article.
