MacCAD news: EON to work with ArchiCAD/GDL

Architosh has learned that EON Reality, a pioneer in the area of interactive 3D software, has announced a partnership with GDL Technology of Hungary. The two will integrate and market each other's products.

EON has native support for Graphisoft's GDL/ArchiCAD geometry formats and this new partnership will strengthen ArchiCAD's Web and interactive 3D capabilities. Initial products will include GDL Object Explorer, GLD Object Web Plug-in, GLD Object Adapter, GDL Object Publisher and GDL SalesCAD. As stated by EON President:

GDL provides the next level of efficiency enhancement for the building industry. The unsurpassed object technology of GDL will allow us to provide a stronger value proposition to our customers. With the planned support of Mac OS X by EON Reality and the excellent OS X support by Graphisoft, Macintosh-based professionals should be getting more opportunities in the interactive Web 3D space, an area where the Mac has not kept pace with the PC.
