Mac 3d: COMPUneering
releases SimuTerra, v1.1 its newest digital terrain modeling
program for Macintosh
COMPUneering Inc., of Toronto, Canada, has just released SimuTerra™ version
1.1, the company's newest digital terrain modeling program (DTM)
for architects, engineers, surveyors, landscape architects and
other AEC and design professionals.
SimuTerra 1.1
SimuTerra 1.1 is compatible with other 3d modeling and CAD programs
and can import data, create a terrain model from that data, and
export the final surface in a total of just three steps. Design
professionals take raw topographic data, manipulate the data while
viewing the resulting DTM in real time (in both 2D and 3D). It
can then be exported for use in other modeling or rendering programs.
"...SimuTerra...contains the complexity needed to create contours
of difficult terrain; to create existing and proposed surfaces
with input from text files; and to create output ranging from dynamic
3D modeling to contour maps for construction drawings", says Christopher
A. Brown of Hoffman Engineering in Santa Barbara, California.
SimuTerra Pro costs $200USD while SimuTerra Standard cost $100USD.
