ArchitectureSeminar: Expanding your practice with the Internet

Architosh has been informed of Jonathan Cohen's latest seminar series, entitled, Expanding Your Practice with the Internet - Seminars for Architects, Planners, Designers and Building Professionals.

Once an Apple Sponsored Seminar

This seminar was once part of the Apple Seminar series, as Jonathan Cohen's office is a Macintosh-oriented office. Jonathan, the author of an excellent book on this subject—which we have reviewed in great detail—wrote back to us saying that Apple hasn't sponsored this seminar since 1998.

The seminar is being shown on a PC because its sponsor, Revit Corporation, the newest prominent CAD on the block, is a PC-only CAD play at the moment. Jonathan has written to us in the past about Revit and the Macintosh. Although he has never mentioned his personal bias on the matter, Jonathan has commented on Revit's promising technology. He remains committed to Macintosh and has mentioned:

"I've talked to Revit about a version for Mac OS X - but I think they would have to hear from a lot of people to make that happen. Revit is a very good program, but it would never run on Virtual PC."

Signing Up for Expanding Your Practice

For those architects out there interested in learning more about how the Internet can expand your practice, check out Jonathan's official site on the subject. There you can check out schedules, locations and learn more about his book.
