Alias / Wavefront, an SGI company, announced that Maya MasterClasses seminars will be held in celebration of 3December (3Dec) Events in Los Angeles, California, and Orlando, Florida. The seminar style classes, for intermediate to advanced users, will be led by some of the most talented 3D artists in the world and focus on specific skill sets so that students can walk away with expert knowledge they can put to use immediately. The seminars will contain computer graphic (CG) tools and tips that attendees can't access anywhere else.

Class Details

Los Angeles Maya MasterClasses will be held at Gnomon School of Visual Effects and will feature three presentations. Alex Alvarez, Gnomon School of Visual Effects, will focus on Soft Body Dynamics; David Stripinis, Director of Animation from Factor 5 LLC will examine Maya Embedded Language (MEL) and Paolo Berto, Freelance Artist will present in depth information on using mental ray for Maya software.

Orlando Maya MasterClasses will be held at Full Sail Real World Education and will feature two presentations. Dariush Derakhshani from Sight Effects and contributing author on Maya: Secrets of the Pros, will demonstrate the awesome capability of Maya Fur, and Scott Rays from Volition Games will focus on Understanding Maya Shading Networks.
