FastTrack Schedule 7 - Mac Project Scheduler

AEC Software's updated FastTrack Schedule 7.0 is coming this month and offers new and improved features for both Macintosh and Windows design (project-based) pros.

New Calendar View!

A key new feature is the 'calendar' view—in addition to the traditional Gantt chart. The calendar view is fully editable and provides additional means of looking at projects across time.

New 'look ahead' views of the calendar data lets you view ranges of time, such as Two Month Look-Ahead, Current Week, Two Week Look-Ahead, etcetera, providing enhanced comprehension of project schedules.

New tool palettes provide quicker access to many of FastTrack Schedule's common tools, including Layouts, Filters and Bar Styles. A Resources View lets you track people, equipment and materials, and assign them to projects. And Resource Work Calendars allow you to customize schedules for each person with time allotments.

True Cross-Platform Collaboration!

Real-time collaboration is enhanced and collaboration for Macintosh users is now available, whether working in all Mac environments or cross-platform environments. Also new for Mac users is enhanced AppleScript support.

Mac OS X Ready!

Perhaps best of all is the news that FastTrack Schedule 7 is Mac OS X compatible (or at least will be when we can run OS X!) [Editor's note: OS X Beta coming to a computer near you Sep 13th.]
