• BOA Frames and Symbols: Ideas for Exchange

A reader has developed a few frames in BOA and said he would be willing to give them away to anyone who needs them. Other BOA readers have concurred and have suggested that BOA symbols and objects could be exchanged at Architosh.

"Which is better, quicker easier to learn?" Sounds like Yoda talking to Luke about the Dark Side of the Force (doesn't it?) Well, actually it is a reader named Dezzzo, who probably doesn't have the Force but was asking a innocent and good question about BOA vs FormZ in terms of architectural 3D capabilities.

• The Quadrant of Standards

The Quadrant of Standards. This was the title of a post by a reader who discusses the four essential apps in the industry that the Mac must support before the Mac can be taken serious as a "workstation class machine". What are the four this reader felt were needed?

Autocad, Solidworks, Rhino and Lightscape.

Ah! but not all readers agreed on these four as the "quadrant of standards". It can really depend on the industry focus.

• ARTlantis 4 - Is it ready for Mac OS X?

A reader asked about Abvent's ARTlantis 4 and if it was Carbon compliant. This is a good question and one we are not sure of. However, Abvent will be with us in New York at Apple's Market Center for a special Architecture/Industrial Design event. We will ask them there and hopefully get an answer.

A reader asked a complex question about HP Network Ethernet adapter plotting issues. " I don't Know what kind of HP Network Ethernet adapter to use..." referring to HP JetDirect EX Plus and the 300X devices. Anyone with plotting experience on ArchiCAD care to help a fellow Mac CAD user out?
