Reader Q: Is there a list of Mac 3D firms that support your site?
Architosh recently received this useful question:
Is there any way to get a list of firms that support your site? I am looking for work in a Mac based firm and would like to contact the firms that use your site. Do I need to join AIWUG?
Yes! There is a list (mostly architecture and other AEC firms) of firms that use the Macintosh platform for CAD and 3D work. This list is known as the Architosh International Web Users Group (AIWUG) and is broken down into the following firm member types:
AEC Professionals (architecture/engineering/construction)
3D Professionals (of all variety)
Designers (other non-AEC CAD/3D professionals)
Design Schools (colleges and higher-Ed schools that use Mac)
AIWUG members do NOT support Architosh financially in the form of membership dues, but rather help support the site by shopping through our Architosh e-Store and clicking and buying through our advertising links.
Membership is Free!
There is no cost to joining AIWUG and your pledge of support of the Macintosh in CAD/3D/AEC helps so many other firms understand that there is indeed others out there using the Mac in their CAD or 3D-based profession.
Students are also welcome! For more information please visit our AIWUG page.
About Contacting AIWUG Members
The ground rules for contacting AIWUG members are simple. No solicitation for services of any kind allowed. The list is vital to showing support of the Macintosh and so it is important that contact be limited to other AIWUG members seeking out help or assistance or looking for qualified Mac-experienced personnel.
